Cuisinart 77-7 Chef's Classic Stainless 7-Piece Cookware Set

Great set for the price, (What's this?) I got this set after researching so many on the internet. I knew I wanted stainless steal and they can become very pricey. I also love Cuisnart but really did not thing there would be a set affordable and my husband found this one for us. I did not need the 10 or 14 piece set (although they are available at a decent price as well.) They heat up very fast and I'm still figuring out just how to cook on them (I've burnt a few things.)Also, if you're getting them to look 'pretty', that will not happen. They retain water spots and the inside never gets completly clean. Also if you have a gas stovetop they will get marks on the bottom. You could use some cleaner to make them shine again but that's too much work if you are using them everyday. My other concern was the weight of the stainless steal and it seems to be fine. The larger pot is a little heavy when full and trying to drain it. They have a nice rim for pouring that helps and they stack nice in my cabinet. Overall, a great product. I rarely give anything a 5 star b/c there never seems to be that perfect product. But, I would suggest this set to anyone who cook on a daily basis and you'll get what you're looking for.
Nearly Perfect., (What's this?) This nearly perfect cookware set is worth the investment. I use them nearly dail for cooking most any meal! A few spots have black specs as I noticed mentioned in other reviews, but it hasn't impeded the performance of these pots one bit! The construction is solid! I prefer plastic-free and non-stick coating free cookware.
High-Quality, Easy to Clean Cookware Set, (What's this?) Purchased at a great price on Amazon. I am very pleased with the quality and performance of all of these pieces, and enjoy having easy to clean, dishwasher safe pots and pans (these replaced a Calphalon set). If you have trouble keeping yours clean, try soaking in hot water with a little liquid dishwasher detergent, or scrub with Bon Ami or Barkeepers Friend powdered cleaner.
Falsely advertized, (What's this?) When I received this Cuisinart 77-7 cookware I notice that the term 18/10 stainless was not imprinted any where on either the product or the accompanying enclosures. I called Cuisinart twice and talked to Richard and Tiaira and both of them said if the pot or pan is not stamped 18/10 stainless it is not made of 18/10 stainless. An Amazon customer service agent referred me to Susanne the Amazon customer service Supervisor; she said that since I ordered the pans from a third party, I would have to go through the third party to get my money back.
cookware purchase, (What's this?) great set of pots and pans that can go from stovetop to the oven and then the dishwasher. bought these for a second home because i have a set that were purchased for a gift for me 30 years ago and still look new.
Not good, (What's this?) Not good, pitted and not even cooking. Bought the tramantina all clad from walmart...great stuff. Will not purchase the chef's classic brand again.
Very pleased, (What's this?) Arrived as described in protective yet minimal packaging. The pieces work well - providing even heating across the bottom and all the benefits of the material. I couldn't be happier with the value for the price.
Works like it should, (What's this?) My set arrived all shiny and well packaged, very pleased with it. Have been using it for two weeks now, so far it does what it should, nothing is sticking but I've been (too) careful about using high heat based on the other reviews, and always used some oil. The interior base will stain but it's a cook set, it should look used. Sturdy and well constructed, good set for a small family. We bought a non stick separately for when we need it. It's all good.
strange stain after second use, (What's this?) After I used the sauté pan twice, I noticed some blue circle stains in it.
USELESS WITH INDUCTION HEAT, (What's this?) This set is beautiful and substantial. I bought it for my induction burner, which requires stainless steel pots. The manufacturer states that these are stainless steel. However, it turns out they y are not the grade of material required for induction heat, which requires stainless steel that attracts a magnet. I rated them 1 star because I believe their limitation should have been noted for naive non-chefs such as myself.

Revere 7-Piece 18/10 Stainless Steel Tri-Ply Bottom Cookware Set

Decent quality for the price, This relatively heavy stainless cookware is functional and a good value for the price, with fairly tight-fitting lids and aluminum discs bonded to the pans' bottoms to assure better heat distribution. Because of the thickness of the aluminum disc, this set works better and heats more evenly than the otherwise similar copper-clad Revere cookware, where the bottom of the pans is very thin metal despite the cosmetic copper coating. And as a previous reviewer noted, the durability and cleanability of steel can't be beat. However, even this set has some small problems that mean it does not work as well as heavier, better-quality, more expensive cookware: for starters, the pans' rolled rims can collect spilled liquids and be hard to clean. Also, the aluminum discs stop quite a bit short of the pans' bottom edges, so using the pots on a gas stove can be tricky -- if the flame is too high, the perimeter of the pan can be hot enough to burn food before the center of the pan is even very warm. Heating gently with a lower flame can help prevent accidentally burned food.
Excellent Value, Long Service, Great Heat distribution, I have been using my original set of five Revere cookware pans for over thirty years. They heat evenly for the most delicate bechamel sauce, frying, etc., plus clean up after a few burned-on accidents. While some of them look less than shiny, all have held up over the years. I had my eye on some fancy new cookware last year and started watching the Food Network on TV to see what the professionals use...imagine that...the un-shiniest, bent, burned-on old pans turned out the most ingenious creations! That got me thinking, it's not the pan but the chef that makes the biggest difference, so I decided to KEEP what worked. Then, I bought this very set of new ones just to have extra since the family has grown, and we expect to use them for at least another thirty years.
cookware set, (What's this?) I was pleased to receive my cookware set quickly and in great shape. No dents! They were lighter than I expected, but that is a good thing...easier to handle! Speaking of handles, they are sturdy and smooth. I don't care for the hanging ring since my cookware is on slide out drawers, but I do like that the set doesn't have "bolts" on the inside. They are smooth inside and that makes easier clean up.
Long lasing cookware, I've had this exact same set of cookware since 1978 and still use it every day. My mom bought it for me when I moved into my new home. Never expected it to last this long. This is NOT high end cookware but rather a basic, very functional set that will last a lifetime as long as you take care of it.
Great Cookware, (What's this?) I purchased 2 sets for my children, I have used Revere Ware for 25 years, they cook great, no handles have fallen off, just a good set of cookware, I'm sure my kids will enjoy them as well.
Great set for just starting out--good value, product......., By A Customer
I've had this set of pans for ten years now, and they have served me well. In fact, they are still just as good as new. Before that, I used non-stick pans but never again. They just begin to flake, and you have to be so careful about the utensils you use. I regularly use the 10 inch skillet to make scrambled eggs in, with virtually no sticking. You just let the pan get hot before pouring in the eggs and use a good stainless steel spatula. The customer service has been excellent with these pans. After about nine years, one of the lid pulls came off and customer service sent out a new one--no problem. These pans are also very durable and easy to clean. I have been known to burn things and after one mishap, my husband said, "you might as well throw the pan away. You are never going to get that clean." I just used a little steel wool and it was as good as new. You can't do that with non-stick. If you are just starting out, on a limited budget, and want a good set of pans that will last you quite some time, this is the set to buy.
Just like the set my mom bought in 1960!, (What's this?) I wanted my daughter to have a set of pots and pans to last a life time the way my moms did...
Nothing like the old Revereware!, My husband gave me this set for Christmas, 2010. I have cooked on Revereware for more than 30 years-it's what my mother used and it's what I have preferred and used in my own kitchens. In fact. I was a home ec. teacher and ordered Revereware sets for my classrooms back in the late 1980s. I loved Revereware's even heating, easy clean up, light weight and durable construction. I was a true fan. So to open a new set at Christmas this year delighted me, right up until I used the new pans. I used only the frying pan and the soup pot. When I fried eggs in the frying pan, after I'd added the eggs, but before the pan reached optimum temperature, the whole pan bowled. We have a new flat top range, and it was obvious immediately. Later that day I was making chicken stock and that pot bowled as well. I am sorry to report that the new Revereware is not worth buying at any price.
disapointing!, (What's this?) I was very happy with the service of Amazon but I bought the Revere set because I was so impressed with the set of a friend. His got his 15 yrs. ago & it was made in the USA...

    Berndes Tradition 7-Piece Set

Favorite cookware of all time, I have several Berndes Tradition pieces, all individually purchased. It is my favorite cookware of all time because they cook evenly. I own 4 different brands of cookware -- my husband and I like to cook at home. I have tried Calphalon, Analon, etc. and Berndes, hands down is my favorite. My husband is a huge fan after cooking with the pots and pans a few times -- he almost always uses the Berndes cookware exclusively as I do. My only complaint is I wish I could use it with my outdoor induction cooktop which have very specific cookware requirements, one of which is preference towards stainless-based cookware.
No kitchen grips with Berndes Tradition 7-piece set, (What's this?) The Berndes Tradition 7-piece set are very nice to use.
However, My friends got kitchen grips with Berndes Tradition 7-piece set,
but I do not got kitch grips when I received my Berndes Tradition 7-piece set.
Berndes is the Best, I have been using Berndes cookware since the day I bought my first piece at a sale my local hardware store was having. They had one of the traditions 9 1/2 fry pan with lid for practically nothing. I took it home and was blown away by the quality and durability of this little pan. I then looked on the web and discovered they were of reasonably high value. I ordered a few more pieces from Amazon and eventually threw out all of my Calphalon and other cookware. I have my family and friends in the process of converting to Berndes also (one skillet as a Christmas gift is all it takes).
You simply are not going to find better cookware in this price range.
Don't waste money on Calphalon, W.Puck, Pampered Chef, or any other cookware in the High-end consumer range. Just buy Berndes and be happy.

This seven-piece set of Berndes Tradition cookware includes a 9-1/2-inch skillet, 11-inch saute pan with lid, 2-quart saucepan with lid, and 7-quart stockpot with lid. Berndes Tradition cookware is manufactured using vacuum-pressure casting. High-grade aluminum alloys are melted and forced into a mold, ensuring the absence of air bubbles and resulting in a thick base, thin sides, no interior rivets, lightweight construction, and a perfectly flat bottom that never warps. The aluminum base delivers excellent heat distribution and is perfect for gas, electric, and ceramic stovetops. What's in the Box 9-1/2-inch open skillet, 11-inch saute pan with lid, 2-quart saucepan with lid, 7-quart stockpot with lid The cookware's interior and exterior nonstick surfaces ensure easy cleanup and the coating is guaranteed to never chip, crack, peel, blister, or come off. The nonstick surface allows the user to cook by adding little or no fat. Berndes does nonstick right--in 1975, DuPont and Berndes were the first companies to launch nonstick cookware in Europe. Users are not recommended to use metal utensils with Tradition cookware. The cookware's rustic wooden handles are cool to the touch on the stovetop. In addition, the cookware may be used in the oven when wrapped with foil. Tradition cookware should not be washed in the dishwasher, as the handles may dry out from the heat.

Cuisinart Chef's Classic Nonstick Hard-Anodized 7-Piece Cookware Set

Great but not perfect, (What's this?) As always, you will never find a perfect cookware. This Cuisinart 7 piece is no exception. It is great but not perfect. Its light weight is very impresive and handle isn't that hot after long period of cooking time. Easy to clean. The non-stick surface is better than other brand. It takes very short time to heat up stuff too. However, couple weaknesses, the lit does not have a small hole to release pressure which we have to watch out for overheat spill. Plus the lit is not the same design as the pot itself, it heats up really quick. So be careful. It is not a good idea to buy plastic handle with the lit, it will deform and loose after a while. Over all, it is better than what I expected even though I have owned this set of cookware for 4 weeks.
Good For The Money......But, (What's this?) I have had this set for about a month and have had a chance to use them enough to have an opinion. They are well balanced and perform well, especially the sauce pans and stock pot. The 8 quart stock pot is large enough for a family of 4-6. Cuisinart advertises you can use metal utensils, but when you read their recommended use card, it says metal utensil will scratch the surface. That is a misleading marketing gimmick in my opinion.

My main complaint with the Cuisinart cookware is they heat up very quickly due to the thin 3 mm thickness. The fry pans are the weakest items of the set. After side-by-side comparisons against Emeril's All-Clad Hard Anodized, I much prefer the Emeril brand. The Emeril pans are 5 mm thick and seem to cook more evenly and are not near as temper-mental as the Cuisinarts.

For not much more money, I would look at the higher quality Emeril Hard Anodized set; and sorry Amazon, the best deals for Emerilware are using one of those 20% off coupons at Bed Bath and Beyond or Linens N Things.
Love This!, (What's this?) First cookware set and love it! It's so easy to clean and perfect for my cooking needs. I love the look and feel too.
Quality isn't great, (What's this?) The coating of these pans started to come off after two years. The cuisinart customer service was good and replaced 3 of these pans already. However, the coating in one of the new ones is starting to come off again. They would be great if this didn't happened.
A pleasure to use and a snap to clean, (What's this?) This is the second cuisinart cookware set i have purchased from Amazon. The first i bought for my home and have been satisfied beyond my expectations. I bought the second 7 piece set for my travel trailor and again cannot begin to describe how wonderful they are to use.......
Excellent value for the $, I bought this for a friend as a house-warming gift and she was quite taken by the product. They've been working great for her so far. Easy to care for, very good non-stick qualities and they give her kitchen a good look.

Circulon Infinite Nonstick 10-Piece Cookware Set

Excellent set, While I did not order these from Amazon, I love this set so much I have leave a review.

First of all, yes, the handles are metal, and yes, they can get hot. If you're cooking on high heat, or a large flame, use protective gloves. I generally cook on a smaller flame, so the handles are slightly above room temperature and still easy to handle. And, yes, they are heavy, but if you've used cast iron cookware, these are lighter.

Now, the best part - cooking on them. They heat quickly and evenly, and I've yet to have anything stick to the surface (I do use a little olive oil when cooking eggs, just in case, and they always turn out perfect). I've used this set for about 3 months now, with the pans seeing daily use. I usually just stick them in the dishwasher, but hand washing is also surprisingly easy. This is definitely the best cookware set I've ever owned.
Nice looking, no quality, (What's this?) After I read all reviews, I decide to order this set. But even with all good reviews, I was profoundly disappointed. After 3 weeks the coating start to come off on the items that was used.
Maybe I wasn't lucky to receive a good one, but at this price the quality has to be constant.
Circulon Cookware Set, (What's this?) I really do like these pots and pans. Foods cook evenly and the non-stick surface is working great. My only complaint is that they are a bit heavy.

After having a glass lid to my last set explode in my kitchen, I am delighted to have metal lids. I am perfectly capable of using a hot pad to lift the lid and check on what I am cooking.
Great cookware at a reasonable price, (What's this?) Very happy with this cookware set which we bought for a new induction hob we have. The nonstick properties work well and they come up like new every time when put through the dishwasher.
Good Quality, (What's this?) Pans work great on our new induction stovetop. Very good quality, handles do not get hot, would recommend to anyone with or without induction cooktop.
Fantastic!, (What's this?) Wow! Best cookware purchase I've ever made. This set of pans cook evenly and clean up in the dishwasher. I highly recommend this product.
Love Circulon, My original set of Circulon went to my kid in what I'd have to say was pristine condition. I just wanted a new set that was an update of a brand I really liked.
Hard to believe, but this set has all the features my old set had as well as some new whistles and bells. It looks a little bit sleeker and has nice lids that look great on my pot rack. It is also dishwasher safe and comes out looking brand new time after time. No lime deposits and no maring of the finish even after a heavy duty cycle. The pots are nicely balanced and the non-stick coating is just as durable as my old set. It has a ringed design in the interior cooking area that distributes heat evenly and protects the surface from scratching. Food absolutely does not stick. Whether using the dishwasher or cleaning with soap and water, clean-up is a snap since this cookware really is non-stick. By comparison, I have Caphalon pieces that are alledgedly non-stick but they require a lot more maintenance.
This is a nice starter kit, but Circulon offers a lot of open stock companion pieces to cater to the serious cook's needs. I've purchased sauce pans of varying sizes, a larger capacity stock pot, and a chicken fryer. I am delighted with my entire set of Circulon. This truly is professional quality cookware for the modern home kitchen.
disappointed in circulon pans, I have had these pans for a year now. They are suppose to be dish washer safe and metal utensil safe. The coating seems to be coming off the bottom of some of my pans and the non stick coating no longer works. My fried eggs stick to my fry pan with sufficient attachment that they can not be turned over easily. As some have noted the handles do get hot. I will be using these pans for sometime to come but they perform only slightly better than my stainless steel set(which I gave away). This is my first set of non stick pans, but if this is as good as it gets, I will go back to stainless on my next purchase.
Better meals!!, (What's this?) Purchased this set for my wife. She thinks it is the best cookware and is so pleased with the performance. We are completely satisfied with the amazon.com transaction.
Great cookware, (What's this?) I will be the first to admit that I have "cooking issues". For years the mantra was "you shouldn't bother; the mess you make isnt worth the crap you can cook"...fast forward through a divorce, new job in a new state...and a desire to make a change. The pots I had made cooking an exercise in frustration - everything burnt and stuck, they heated unevenly etc etc...half the time I ended up throwing out whatever I had been cooking and ordering delivery. Not exactly the healthiest option for me or my four year old.

From lid to handle to base, each piece of Infinite Circulon cookware is geared for optimal performance in the kitchen--so home chefs can focus on the art of cooking, not the science. The hard-anodized aluminum bodies and stainless-steel bases with encapsulated aluminum cores offer the dual advantages of rapid, even heating and superior durability. Circulon's TOTAL nonstick system (rated the longest wearing by independent lab tests) features an all-over nonstick coating and a Hi-Low ring design that heats food over the entire cooking surface, but reduces abrasion by allowing only a portion of food and utensils to touch. Also, unlike most nonstick pans, Infinite goes right into the dishwasher so cleanup is a breeze. The set's deep charcoal grey and bright mirror-polish combination looks professional yet stylish enough to bring to the table for serving. All pieces are oven-safe to 500 degrees F and can be used with any stove type. Cuisinart Multiclad Pro Stainless-Steel Cookware 7-Piece Cookware Set

Performs as expected - great value, (What's this?) We bought this set to complete our changeover from Calphalon aluminum and Calpholon/Cuisinart non-stick to slainless/aluminum clad cookware. We had previously bought a 12" Tramontina full clad skillet and both 10" and 8" Calphalon full clad skillets. We are still relearning cooking withou non-stick pans, but are satisfied with cooking and cleanup.
Elegant looking, This was a Christmas gift. I was very surprised by the weight of this cookware. Love the look of the handles. Wish the frying pan was a bit bigger. Very nice starter set for someone to build onto.
Love the pans, (What's this?) I was nervous when purchasing these pans. I had not used stainless steel and used the non-stick pans instead. The non-stick always needed replacing after a few years. They never lasted. My husband encouraged me to give it a try since there is a life time warranty. It has been a couple of months now and I really do love the pans. It does take some getting used to but they cook so much better. Be sure to let the pans heat up before adding oil and everything is great. I did purchase the 5 1/2 quart saute pan as well. I use it more than anything. The only negative I see is that the pans are heavy.
    Love them!, (What's this?)
Amazing set of cookware!, Its been a very long time since I reviewed anything...but this set deserves my time to review. Though I bought this set elsewhere, I bought other pieces from amazon with the 4-for-3 offer to complete the set. I cook twice everyday and I have to say, Ive loved cooking with these pots! The 8 qt stockpot that comes with the set is what I use very sparingly, given its size...making it slightly unuseable for my small family of 4. Otherwise I got the 3.5 qt casserole, 2 qt & 3 qt. saucepans. I also got a 6 qt stockpot and pretty much those cover all my cooking needs. Very heavy and will certainly last a lifetime.
merchandise problem, (What's this?) Although I am sure that Cuisinart has a good product, I ordered the HENKEL set of cookware. It was a gift and, when the Cuisinart cookware arrived, I did not go to the effort of returning the item. When I first realized the problem, I wrongly assumed that Cuisinart owned HENKEL. Recommendation - be very careful, if you are ordering HENKEL cookware through AMAZON.
DO NOT buy this product unless you want to invest more money, (What's this?) I purchased a Multiclad Pro Stainless Steel 7 piece cookware set (MCP-7). I recently attempted to use them for the first time (after 30 day return for Amazon) and just rinsed them out with hot water and Palmolive dish soap. When I went to use one of the pans I noticed this oily residue on not only the pan I was going to use, but all of the pans. When I attempted to clean it again with soap and water and then just hot water and papertowels it only smeared some of the oily/greasy residue. I assumed this was left over from the manufactoring or was a defective product. I contacted Cuisinart and they informed me that i had a choice of 3 cleaning products that I could additionally purchase to determine if this was the problem or if I wanted to pay to send it in I could get it evaluated. I asked if they could send me a sample of the cleaner so I could assess if that was the problem, but they informed me they do not do that. When I requested that they send me a prepaid label to return the pans for assessment they informed me they do not do that for cookware and that their warranty was limited. I imagine the warranty covers that the pans should actually be able to be used, but apparently I have to invest even more money to determine if the pans are not defective. I feel as if Cuisinart should provide their customers with FUNCTIONING products that do not require additional purchases of cleaning products because they failed to properly clean them before selling them. This is pooor customer service and poor product control. I will never purchase Cuisinart Cookware again.
Cuisinart Multi-clad Cookware, (What's this?) After much research and review reading, I bought the 7-piece Cuisinart Multi-clad Cookware set. It looks great.
It will take a LOT of adjustment with this though. It takes a very long time to heat up but then it also seems to go from room temp to burning hot within a second or two, burning whatever is in the pan (and this is NOT when the pan is on high).
Every pan now has mottled, milky marking on the inside bottom after the first use. Although it cooks almost like a non-stick, I have to really scrub to get these marking to fade and they never really go away unless I boil white vinegar in them each time.
The pots themselves are very structurally sound, heavy, substantial. The lids are another story - almost tin-like.
Not sorry I bought them - I just wish I had found a true review of this cookware and how high-maintenance it really is.
Works Great, (What's this?) Very pleased with this cookware. great looking, solid, cooks evenly, dishwasher safe. A little heavier than expected. Very pleased overall. Will buy more pieces.
for the price it's AMAZING but there is only one thing bad, (What's this?) I pretty much agree with all the other reviews. it's a cheaper poor man version of all-clad. only one thing that bothers me.

    Burgundy Nonstick Cookware

Very very low quality, (What's this?) I wrote a review last week but I didn't find it here. I have to re-emphasis how poor it is. After one time use, the non-stick coat melted and combined in the dishes. That's terrible. I didn't realize the black dot was that, I thought it was overcooked. After seeing the bottom of the pan, I felt uncomfortable. Half of the non-stick coat was gone. I had eaten them with the dishes! I strongly NOT recommend this product. Cheap stuff doesn't mean no quality at all! I was so regret that I didn't look at other's review in advance.
No quality, (What's this?) I have cooked with this set of pans twice, and already the teflon coating has begun to chip away. The aluminum edge around the top rim is pulling away after being run through the dishwasher. I wasn't expecting top quality at this price...but I didn't think they would be a one time use either.

    I do not recommend.
didn't last 4 months, (What's this?) I bought this in August for school and they were worn out by December. They rusted and the handles from lid and pot got loose and about to come out. Ended up trashing them and decided to spend more money of cookware that can atleast last a year or two. I'm a college student and cook only once or sometimes twice a week yet these pot didn't last up to 5 months. I regret buying them and for your own good, don't waste your money on them.
Extremely Poor Quality, (What's this?) I bought this set thinking it was a good deal couple of months back. I realized that it was a big cheat when i just started using the pans a week back. They are of extremely poor quality. Basically none of these pans can be used for cooking. The pans start fuming and smelling plastic the first time you use it. Moreover the coating, apparently non-stick does not even last a single use. They peel and give a plastic smell to the food as well. I will definitely not recommend this product.
Quality is a word the manufacturer does not know., (What's this?) In using the skillet of the set and hand-washing it after the first use the non-stick coating peeled off. Furniture Creations sent another set, at no cost and with no problems. In the second set the skillet made it through 3 uses. Furniture Creations did credit me back, and they have excellent customer service. The color of the pans wipes off with a paper towel. The rims are barely in place. The lids are all wonderful, I just wish the pan set had been as well. I would not suggest this set to anyone who intends to use them. We are starting to see the non-stick bubbling on the larger pan, so it is only a matter of time before that one peels as well.
Burgundy Nonstick fast-cooking, (What's this?) Burgundy Nonstick Cookware cooks food FAST on LOW heat. They heat up fast.
I have made perfectly cooked scrambled eggs, hash browns, beef stew from scratch, and a ground beef and vegetable dish so far.
They clean up with a simple rinse--no need for the dishwasher (not recommended).
They are very lightweight--easy to pick up and clean etc. This is not a walk away set of cookware. You need to stay there and watch your food cook. Your food will be done in the blink of an eye. It is for the stovetop/cooktop NOT for the oven.
I have burnt food in the past using similar lightweight cookware..now I realize
I was the problem--not the cookware. i had the heat up too high. Start with LOW heat and you will not go wrong with these.
POOR quality.. UNFIT for use, (What's this?) I bought this 2 months ago, i have used only one pan out of the whole set. The pans are of very poor quality and not suitable for use in cooking. The first time i heated it, it started smelling plastic and the coating started to wear out. I still have three of them unused.

Cuisinart MCP-12 MultiClad Pro Stainless Steel 12-Piece Cookware Set

    Love Love Love!, (What's this?)
'discoloration' and spots can be removed, I saw those pictures of discoloring of the pans after cooking or boiling water. it is absolutely NORMAL! let's shed some light on this issue. those spots are not 'impurity' in the steel but in your water!! water needs nucleus to boil and those spots are most likely the minerals in the water. anyhow enough said the SOLUTION to clean it is go buy some ' bar keepers friend' or baking soda, sprinkle them onto a moist pan and rub in circular motion in the pan then rinse. guess what's gonna happen?! SHINING pans! this is the nature of stainless steel pans. you have to polish them with 'bar keepers friend' or baking soda.
Awesome, Bought this set almost a year ago. Couldn't be happier. You do have to know what you are getting though. Stainless does stick more than other options so you have to prepare accordingly.
Also, I hand wash all mine. They are holding up great and with a little polish, look good as new.
Awesome set, This set is absolutely fantastic. We bought it to replace some of our older non stick sets and they are the best. We have had no issues with them and cleaning them is a breeze with the bar champ.
Impressive, (What's this?) These look like a million bucks. They have an elegant look and sturdy feel. The handles feel great too. Haven't used them yet. They are a christmas gift that will impress.
Great looking and performing cookware, (What's this?) This is my first set of stainless steel cookware, I had to do a fair amount of research on how to cook with stainless steel and whether or not to buy a set of All-Clad. In the end I couldn't convince myself I needed a $1000+ set of All-Clads, and I'm glad I didn't because this is a pretty good set IMHO.

The set feels pretty heavy and well built. The handles are comfortable, and the weight and the balance of the pans feels good. It doesn't come with a separate lid for each pan, but between all the lids they fit everything. The handles do not get hot easily, even after having a pan on the stove making caramelized onions in the saute pan for over 40 minutes it was perfectly cool to the touch.

If you are not willing to learn the tricks of cooking with stainless steel it would be a waste of money to buy this set, as they are incredibly different from non-stick cookware in terms of how you cook with them. However if you follow the principals of preheating the pan, adding some sort of fat/oil you can cook pretty much anything.

I am not a professional chef, I'm just a guy who likes to cook. I have made many things in these pans already, steak (and pan sauce!), salmon fillets, tacos, caramelized onions, eggs. I have also used the steamer pot, which works wonderfully for steaming vegetables.

These pans do not develop hot spots, unlike my old cheap nonstick cookware. It's reassuring that if you have a pan full of food it will cook about as evenly as it gets. That to me is worth the price of admission in itself.

I will say they are a bit more work to clean, but generally find it worth it. There are two tricks to cleaning these pans. Firstly when you get done cooking and the pan is still hot, you should deglaze the pan with some water, this will allow you to easily scrape off any sucs (caramelized bits that are stuck to the pan). Secondly do as the instructions that come with the pots say apply some dish soap and water and let it soak. By time you get done eating you should have no issue cleaning them. If there is a film left over all you do simply apply some Bar Keepers Friend to the pan, and they'll look brand new. I also immediately dry my pots and pans.
Spots and sticking issues on first use, (What's this?) As with other people who recently reviewed this product, I experienced spots and discolorations on the pans after their first use. I also had issues with eggs sticking to the bottom of the skillet even with the help of cooking oil. I was overwhelmed by the overall positive reviews of this product, but upon closer inspection I noticed a trend that the more recent reviews tended to be negative. Based on the issues I experienced I decided to return this set.
Great product!, (What's this?) Love this cookware set! I love how evenly it cooks. It is lightweight, but sturdy, and it looks great in my kitchen. Don't be scared with the price because you get what you are paying for.
so far, SO good, (What's this?) I've read just about every review to date on both this and many other websites. I've read reviews from people who swear by multiclad and people who say it would make a better boat anchor than cookware. Everyone is comparing it to all-clad I know from experience just how wonderful all-clad is, but I also know how much it costs.

So is the 12pc all-clad set $750 better than the 12pc Cuisinart multiclad set? NO! not in my opinion.
in a side by side comparison I can tell no difference in build quality, distribution of heat, and ease of clean up.

Aesthetically I think the all clad looks better, but ergonomically multiclad performs better.
Uncomparable in looks and price, (What's this?) Purchased for Thanksgiving 2011. Made great impression. Cookware is functional and looks amazing. Not sure yet about cooking eggs as they seem to stick to the pan. May be because I have never used this type (SS)item before and need to read up on how to best use. You will love this item and for the price you cannot beat it.

Anolon Advanced Hard Anodized Nonstick Cookware Gift Set, 3-Piece

3-Pc. Set Not Available to buy anywhere else!, (What's this?) I just ordered this set, since I did NOT need an 8" or 12" Saute' pan, which is the only other way to buy saute' pans separately. Covers for these pans alone are expensive, so this was an added feature, along with the brazing pan (great for stews, roasts, etc.) which will use the same size cover. I called the manufacturer about this and found that this 3-Pc. combo is NOT SOLD. It comes as a BONUS when you buy a 10-Pc. set. Amazon probably buys so many sets that it can offer this set to us buyers. The price is more than fair, so I ordered it.

A point of interest is that this same manufacturer also makes lines like Calphalon, Rachel Ray, Circulon and others. I did my research, and Anolon is the best rated hard anodized pan available, and is supposed to outlast all the others. We'll see.

It's nice to be able to buy a "set" not geared towards families, etc.
As a single person, this was a perfect choice.

I have since used them and absolutely love them.

You can saute' meat, fish, etc.

Berndes SignoCast Classic 7-Piece Cookware Set

Poor packaging, 3 of 4 pots damaged in shipping, (
Scratch and cracks found after receiving it, (What's this?) The packing of this cookware set is really bad. Scratch and cracks found after receiving it. It is product design defect that cause such kind of problems.
The Best!, (What's this?) I had two Berndes pans...a 11" frypan and a 1 qt. saucepan but needed something a big larger. When I saw this set included the 2 QT saucepan and all the pieces with it at that price I couldn't resist! I have been thru three green pans this past year and my other half ruined each of them. I decided to let him try my older Berndes frypan and nothing sticks to it and we use NO OIL! So I am very happy right now to have this set, specially at the price.
Great quality pots and pans, I've been a Berndes lover. I have not seen them sold in the stores for some reason. I got my first set of Berndes eight years ago and the coating just started to come off a little bit. They heat up evenly and are very durable. I like non-stick pots and pans but most of them are cheaply made. If you like non-stick professional pots and pans this is the one to go for. I have been using the new sets of pots. They are really great.
cookware by Berndes, (What's this?) Absolutly love this product. I have been using them for over 15 years. This set was for my daughter and appears to be exactly the same as my old ones. NO PEALING EVER!!! Easiest thing to clean too.
Heavy but Well Made, (What's this?) These kitchen pots are heavier than most; difficult for older citizens to lift and safely move on stove top. Exceptionally well made. One piece arrived with defective lid knob which was quickly and politely replaced. Slow to heat but retains temperature well. Fry pan does not brown well.

Lodge L5HS3 Lodge Logic Cast Iron 5-Piece Cookware Set

Lodge L5HS3 Lodge Logic Cast Iron 5-Piece Cookware Set
This cookware is Awesome!, (What's this?) I took other people's advice and seasoned it before I used it and it works wonderfully. I love how well it cooks my food and it is worth the extra TLC of seasoning it after I use it.
Cheaper if bought individually, This set is currently listed for $107. I just put all these items in my cart individually and it totals $68.32. I love my lodge cast iron, but for the life of me I can't figure out why the set costs more than the pieces purchased individually. If you're interested in this set (and it's a great combo) do the math first to find out which way is cheapest.

Also, season your pans a few times before using them. I rub on a thin coat of coconut oil, put them in a 350 degree oven for an hour, then let cool. A few times of this and they are amazing to use.

Cast iron loves a campfire, a stovetop, or an oven, and can slow-cook foods without scorching. It retains heat well so you can sear meat at higher temperatures. A good all-purpose cast iron cookware set allows you to fry up eggs, pancakes, steaks, chicken, hamburgers, and can bake desserts and casseroles. The cookware comes seasoned, ready to use, a little vegetable oil before use will further help to prevent food from sticking. Whether used in a kitchen or camp, theses virtually indestructible cookware should last for generations.

Wearever Cook & Strain Stainless Steel 10-Piece Cookware Set

Wearever Cook & Strain Stainless Steel 10-Piece Cookware Set
Great cookware and a great deal, (What's this?) This cookware set came with the two spoons and a colander instead of the pictured spatula. That's a bonus in my book.

All pieces seem quite durable. The pans are light to the hand but have thick bottoms that distribute heat well. I usually have trouble cooking rice in a regular pot, but my rice maker broke so I gave it a try with these and it came out perfectly (using a gas stove).

The handles do heat up a bit but a silicone pot handle cover solves the problem easily. I like that there's no plastic handle so I can place these in the oven as well as the stovetop.
Not what I expected, (What's this?) I purchased this set in hopes of making my canning and jelly making easier. The pots are not large enough and the lid handles get way too hot to touch. The picture does not depict what you will get. I got a medium size colander with it instead of the 3 utensils shown. I will have to puchase another pot to make my jellies and the pour spout leaves something to be desired. It is way to small. If you are looking to just heat up a can of veggies and drain them it is okay. I was expecting more for the money I spent. Thank you for your time.
Excellent for my smooth-top stove, (What's this?) I had a 3qt & a 1.5qt which were heavier. I miss that extra weight as this set is slightly lighter. However, the bottoms are flat, they clean up easily and are just a delight to work with. AND, the price is just so right! I didn't want to pay hundreds for new pots when my old set (still good for a gas range) was no longer working on this stove. I am just so pleased which is a tall order since I've had my old Farberware for decades and hated giving it up. I just didn't want to pay so much again and took a chance on these. I'm very pleased. And I like the welded handles. That means I can put the pot in the oven and that works out perfectly. Just remember to use oven mitts. Also, I don't need mitts for most cooking, only when the pot has been on the stove for long periods like cooking pasta. The handles stay remarkably cool while the pot heats up quickly and efficiently.
Bought for neice's wedding., (What's this?) You have got to love "Lifetime Warranty" on any product. These pans are glorious. Not only is the product backed by that lifetime warranty it may never need it. To me a company that is willing to stand behind their product to such a degree has pride and confidence in the product. I like that. That gives me confidence in my purchase.

The pans themselves are beauties and with a little consideration they will "last a lifetime".
    WEAREVER COOK WARE, (What's this?)
great quality for value!, I received this set as a gift 7-8 years ago from my mom. I wasn't cooking much then, but now cook every night for my family, and still use these every day! Escpecially the fry/saute pan, because you can brown meat and add sauce all in one pan. The spouts on the sides are very handy whether you're actually straining pasta, or just the fact that they make it much easier to transfer/pour any food to a serving dish/bowl. Each of the pots and saucepans in this set are all just the right size for every day use, I have a few other pots and pans, but really could live with only this set and not be missing anything. The largest pot is big enough to make something like chili for your family, but not a whole crowd, the smallest is just the right size for things like top ramen or cream sauce. I give these 5 stars for all categories that are important to me:
    durability, functionality, appearance, and feel.

*My set came with the fry pan being non-stick, which I notice has changed - I think this is an improvement, as the only negative of my set is the non-stick surface got scratched, which would not be an issue w/ this new improvement.
Excellent product!, (What's this?) I've been using these pots for several months and am so happy with them! The glass tops make it easy to keep an eye on things even with the lids on, and the pour spouts and drain holes are so handy for pasta, vegetables and more. My only complaint is that the handles on the lids do get uncomfortably hot if left on for long enough.
Superb value for money --- why pay more?, I bought this set well over a year ago, and it still looks almost like new. I use these on an electric stove; the pans cooks very evenly and is easy to clean up. The handles don't get too hot, and I like being able to see THROUGH the lid so I don't have to open it to know if something is boiling and how far down it has cooked. I LOVE the strain feature, which can also be used to vent off steam (if you're cooking something like rice, be sure to turn the strain side of the lid IN so that the steam you need to cook the rice doesn't escape). They pop into the dishwasher and washup without any problem. The stainless steel ones do not stick, with use of a small amount of oil. For the money, these are fantastic cookware. I also own a set of Caphalon, but these are much easier to care for and (for every day use and easy clean-up) cook nearly as well (not for dellicate sauces---for those I still use Caphalon). I like these so much for everyday use, I am buying anoter set for my vacation home.
Amazing, very good, (What's this?) Very heavy and not at all flimsy like other steel pans i used in the past. I am pretty sure they will last a life time for me. The handles are just right even after long time on the stove top. We use the electric range and so i always set the temperature to medium. I have already used the cookware for more than 10 times and the food never burnt and never stuck at the bottom. Cleaning is also easy. I would definitely recommend this product.
very happy with this set, My husband bought this pan set because he was looking for a smaller sauce pan than my smallest one for cooking on the grill and he knew I liked this line of pans. So he's claimed the smallest pan in this set for melting butter and seasoning when he's grilling. The rest I use in my kitchen.
I like the whole set, it cleans up easily, cooks evenly and the spouts on the sides pour nicely.

Farberware Premium Nonstick 10-Piece Cookware Set, Platinum

Farberware Premium Nonstick 10-Piece Cookware Set, Platinum
Great set of cookware, I absolutely love this cookware! I only wish they had more pieces to purchase. It not only looks great, it cooks fantastic: no sticking or burning, and it also cleans extremely easily.
Nice Pots, (What's this?) These are a nice set of beginner pots. They clean up easily and look good. I am enjoying them so far.
Take care of em, they'll take care of you., (What's this?) This is not a heavy duty set of pots and pans. Before buying mine I did some research and discovered that I could save alot of money on a good set of pans by making sure to care for them properly. I think if you do that with these, you'll be pleased. While I don't think you'll be giving them to your children and them to theirs, they'll probably last a kid through 4 years of college or so. Lightweight, handles stay cool, they really, really do clean up easy. Just don't use metal utensils or full blast heat on them and you're good to go.
Not worth it, This is a VERY lightweight set of pans. I was very disappointed.

With "Premium" in the title, I thought they would be good quality, heavy pans. They are so thin. They look and feel like you could just bend them in half and I am SOOOOO tempted to try it, but then I won't be able to return them lol. Even the handles are lightweight.

The nonstick coating inside the pans almost looks powdercoated and you can just tell that it is going to bubble off or something. They are not smooth inside - there is a bit of an odd texture. These pans look like they would warp easily and I would NEVER trust these in the dishwasher, even though it says they are dishwasher safe. The fry pans are very shallow and the lids do not fit them. Speaking of the lids, they are lightweight too.

The handles on the pans and on the lids get scorching hot, even when only using medium heat.

I have another set of Farberware and they are at least double the weight of this set. The metal is much thicker on my other set and like I said with "Premium" in the name of this set I just thought they would be just as good as my old set if not better - boy was I wrong.

The first thing I tried to cook was eggs and they stuck pretty bad, even with plenty of butter in the pan. I did not have to scrub forever to get it off like the previous reviewer mentioned, but I did have to scrape a bit with a nylon spatula to get it all off.

I wouldn't recommend these, not even for a starter set because you can get a better set for the same price.

The only good thing about them is the color - it is a very pale goldish silver color...
love it, (What's this?) These pots are great and I love the metal handle bveccasue you can go from the stove top to the oven and create wonderful meals.
Frying pan sticks badly., Followed directions exactly and cooked eggs in the frying pan the first time I used it. The eggs stuck badly and it took 10 minutes to scrub it clean with a non stick safe scrubber. It was equivalent to cooking in a stainless steel frying pan without using oil. It looks nice but was not even slightly non-stick. I will be returning it.
The best non-stick I've used, I have used Circulon for 13 years and loved it then this past December I discovered the Farberware Platinum and love it! Gave some as a gift and they love it also. Well worth the money.
Great Set, (What's this?) Have had NO problems with this set.
